I am looking at a 1999 sea ray 180 for sale. Does this boat have wood in the stringers? Does it have wood in the transom? Is this boat prone to rot problems? Current owner left water sitting in the bilge because he didnt know it had a bilge plug and the bilge pump broke. I am worried it is rotted, but I cant tell by looking at it. Owner is willing to accept 4k.

The 99-01 180 bowriders are great boats. From what I understand there is no wood. Maybe the dealer who sold it to me was wrong but that's what I was told about my 01 180br. I would be most worried about the engine, trim pump, and electrical components being submerged.

Mine was I/O, I didn't think they offered an outboard option in 1999
