1999 290 Sundancer

I am considering the purchase of a 99 290 Sundancer with the twin 4.3 carb package. I believe this was the standard engine package and the 5.0's and 5.7 were options. Would like real world numbers on performance. Did a search on the board but could not find anything.

I asked about the same thing back in 2009 when I went through the same process. To summerize my experiences with the 290DA/4.3/Alpha 1 combo, I'd say power is adequate provided that you keep the boat as light as possible and don't often have more than 2-3 guests aboard. Mine had 4-blade ss-props.
