How can I remove the lounger's back rest.

I have a leak that seems to come from behind the ceiling in the aft cabin that is directly below the back rest of the lounger.

It looks like the liner is attached by screws that are behind the back rest of the lounger, but I cannot figure out how the back rest can be removed.

Any help is appreciated.

Look anything like this?...

Hey, MWPH. I have the same one. How did you remove it. I know the seat is on Velcro. Thanks. JG

John,
There are two screws holding up the vinyl covered panel just above the mid cabin entry way. Remove that panel & you will have 5 or 6 screws that go through the fiberglass into the plywood back of the seat's backrest. I have some pics if you need them but its pretty straight forward.

Claude - Exactly which piece are you trying to remove?

Thanks, MWPH. Oh yes! I have had that panel off. I re-enforced panel and now have my TV combo DVD hanging off it.

Claudepio, I have this same lounger. Never took it apart but there's almost got to be access through the vinyl covered curved eye-level panel on the other side (in the mid cabin). I'm thinking too that one of the ceiling panels will come down giving access to the screws holding the seat on. I checked my parts manual for an exploded view of this area and it doesn't show any access diagrams. Might give Sea Ray a call and see if they can remember how they put it together.

Did Sea Ray use velcro for all lounger main seat pads? I've been wondering how to remove this lounger because mine is deteriorating underneath at the backer board.
