Thinking of buying a 1999 290 dancer with twin 4.3's @ 190 hp each.
This boat list at 10,500 lbs with a 10'2" beam.
It doesn't seem like this boat would ever get up on plane.
Can anyone weigh in on this?

We used to have a 1991 280 dancer with 4.3s. It did fine, great gas mileage, planed no problem with 4 people on board

I currently have a 1998 Sundancer with 5.0L's. A little slow out of the hole but not bad. It is noticeably longer with 4 people on board. Runs best around 3400 RPM's and will fall out of the water around 3000. Good speed for a relatively heavy boat - about 22 to 24 MPH on average. I've never been on one with 4.3's but I'd think it would work them pretty hard.

I have a 94 290 DA with the 4.3 s and no issues at alk
