It's time for us to move up from our beloved 290. This is a copy/paste of the craigslist ad so feel free to PM me or email/text/call through the ad. We really love this boat but we spend so much time on board we need some more space. I know this boat inside out and can likely answer any questions you have. I'd really like to see it go to someone who will take as good care of it as we have.

1998 Sea Ray 290 Sundancer. - $41,000 located in Rochester, NY. On the hard, winterized with storage paid, wrapped, and spring splash also paid

Twin 5.7EFI / Alpha I Gen II with about 700 hours on motors. New plugs, caps and rotors in 2016.
Kohler 4kw Generator - all generator maintenance yearly. oil/filter change every fall, plugs in 2016, impeller 2017.
    Heat/Air Conditioning
    Anchor Windlass and plow anchor
Raymarine GPS/Chartplotter with downscan and chirp sonar
    New water heater in 2015
New transom assemblies in 2015 including: bellows, gimbal housing, gimbal bearings, and lower shift cables,
New lower units in 2015. Warranty until October 2017
New black canvas in 2016 - all OEM with seamark (vinyl) on the interior and new isinglass. Still have original full camper enclosure (tan) including the poles for the extended camper back. Great Lakes boat top has the camper extension for about $700-800
New exhaust in 2015 - all manifolds, risers, and elbows replaced as preventative maintenance
New props in 2017 - 4 blade Quicksliver Diamond4's. OEM 3 blade SS 14x19 vengeance also included, spare hubs.
New battery charger in 2016: 20amp Pronautic 2 bank smart charger.
New house batteries in 2016. 3 total on boat
New jenson head unit (stereo) in 2015 with bluetooth and helm remote
New Impellers in 2017 (replaced yearly)
New Carpet in 2016 (not OEM, still have original but is torn)
    New bottom paint 2017
New bilge pumps 2017 (both standard and high water pump)
Both outdrives drives have been professionally disassembled and resealed in 2016 and 2017
Full compound and wax every year in the spring.
    OEM Bow sunpad
All OEM filler cushions (V berth and starboard pull out couch)

This boat is meticulously maintained and everything works. We are the second owner and it has been freshwater its whole life. All maintenance records since we have owned it including all the work done by the dealership we purchased it from. Oil samples for main engines taken in 2015 and 2016, no issues. Both engines have 180+ compression on all cylinders. Not a drop of water in the bilge.

Outdrives are removed and brought home every year for gear lube change, new impellers, and pressure tested for leaks. Engine oil changed in the fall before layup. Engine alignment checked before reinstalling drives.

Very nice boat. And I really like that winter cover.

    Good luck.

Ryan, your boat looks pretty nice and it would be cool to sell it before spring so you can start looking for the next one. I have one small tip for you though.... The cabin of your boat doesn't show as well as the outside. I would like to suggest that you clean up and remove the clutter in the cabin and re-take the pictures. Put all the stuff on the shelves away and out of sight. Fold all blankets and arrange neatly or take off the boat altogether. Remove the loose throws from the bunks and arrange the pillows. I know this seems petty but trust me, your boat will be more attractive to potential buyers. Those pictures are your "First Impression"....you want to make a good one.

Thanks. It didn’t have a gen, which is on me for not asking before hand but honestly it’s the first early 2000’s 340 I’ve ever seen without one. We use ours a lot, and in a boat that size I couldn’t go without one.

I figured you probably did but just wanted to offer the reminder. I've bought and sold several and good pics of a well-staged boat can make a difference. The broker we used for the last sale was a worthless piece of fecal excrement as a broker but she knew how to stage a boat and take great pictures.

    Good luck with your sale.

Much, much, much better. She looks great. I was taught that not having your personal stuff in the pictures allows the prospective buyer to "picture" their stuff in the boat.

Your boat is smaller than what I am looking for but if I was looking for a really nice 290 you'd be getting an offer from me.

    Nice job.

Looks great but the price looks high for the the year and model. That boat on our lake would sell for much less. Best of luck I hope you get full price !

Thanks, we do know we’re on the high end of the range but do believe the boat is worth it. Boats in the Great Lakes and searays specifically seem hold their value around here. We’re asking slightly above trade in value according to local dealers. Unfortunately, with a high of 18* Friday it’s a tough season to sell a boat.
