Hello,
I just purchased a 1998 230 Overnighter and have not had it out yet. I am contemplating installing a swim platform on it. I also plan on fishing with the boat. Will I be able to troll with the 5.7 260 HP Mercruiser or will I need to install a small trolling motor.
I need to figure out what I am doing prior to installing a swim platform as the additional weight and mounting will need to be taken into consideration if using a trolling motor.
