Hi! I purchased a 1997 330DA recently and wanted to have a thread to show the renovations and updates that are being done to the boat.

It has twin Mercruiser 5.7MPI motors with fresh water cooling and v-drives. 490 hours on the motors.

We keep the boat moored at a marina in Olympia, WA and plan on using it primarily in the Puget Sound.

So far I have removed the old pinstripes on the bow, updated the interior after finding a leak in the anchor locker, installed a new Fusion radio and Bluetooth remotes to control zones, installed new speakers in the aft cockpit, and installed faux teak flooring in the cockpit.

Just ordered new canvas from Great Lakes and that should be about it for this season other than maintenance and cleaning.

Installed a Walker Bay 8’ dinghy and added the EVA faux teak to the swim platform.

nice to get some of the little projects done before going on overnight trips.

Great cruises on Budd Inlet and around Hope Island the last two evenings. South Puget Sound is spectacular.

Have been really enjoying the boat. Took it to Hood Canal for Fourth of July and brought her home this weekend.

Stayed overnight at Point Hudson marina in Port Townsend and the ran 5 hours home today.

Great fun and great memories even during all this COVID shit. Feeling very grateful.

Been a bit since I’ve updated. Many good hours and great memories on the boat the past month.

Looks great, Dabble. Gotta love a clean boat!
Hopefully we will see you on the water!

Nice work. I just bought a 98 330. I removed the .hull stripes to maybe replace. I have new stripes just not sure if I want to put back on I like the clean look so far.

I can never figure out the crop fix for photos... oh well.

I’m planning on keeping the lower hull stripes but like the look of it without

How did you install the vinyl plank flooring? Did you glue it down or does it float like in a home? Nice job.

I have the same dilema. My waterline stripes have seen better days and to make it worse, last year I buffed through them in a few places (doh!) My plan right now is to take them off before launch and see what I think of the look over the summer. I bought two of the rubber Whizzy drill removal wheels for the task. I plan to use heat gun and plastic scraper to get get the worst off, and the wheels to finish. Hopefully a light compounding is all I need to get rid of the ghosting.
