1996 Sundancer 270 Oil Tube Question

I have a Mercruiser 7.4 Bravo 2 and I am having the hardest time finding which hole the oil dipstick tube bracket goes into. It was a rebuild and the mechanics put the bracket way up high at the gear lube fill tank. The tube keeps popping out of oil pan because I know it supposed to be lower based off diagrams but nothing shows where the bracket is supposed to attach to. Does the dipstick bracket screw attach to a hole in the block? Or one of the exhaust manifold bolts?
