Hi, Can anyone tell me how /where to access the sump pump for the shower in a 1996 290 SR Sundancer. I just bought the boat and have been testing all the systems, everything seems to be working fine accept the shower drain / holding pump out. I followed a suggestion to pour approx. 2 gals. water into the shower to check that it pumped out.....but nothing happened other than the water disappeared. I checked in around the fresh water system tank and pump and there was a few inches of what I believe was the water from the shower lying in around the bilge there. (previously not there). The carpeting and all panels are well and discreetly secured on the cabin floor and there's no obvious inspection hatch/panel to get at the pump, so I'm not sure where to start.
Thanks for any advice.

It is definitely under the aft cabin berth. Good luck getting the water out. What a b*tch! Didn't find my problem for about 2 weeks after the pump quit. NASTY & SMELLY!

Thank you all for your assistance, I will investigate next week.

Hi - In my 330 Da you pull up the sunbrella carpet cover and it is under a cover right outside the bathroom. Mine quit and I fixed it but I found that you can buy the entire unit (box, pump, float switch) from boaters world for $89.00 so I will change mine out completely before I put the boat in in the spring. Hope this helps.
P.S. Yes it was no fun cleaning up the bilge afterwards.

Hi ,95290, I found and replaced the sump pump successfully, it was under the aft cabin berth. Thank you for the info.
Do you happen to know if there is a forward (2nd) automatic bilge pump under the cabin floor somewhere in a, 1996 290 SR Sundancer 7.4L BIII. I don't detect one but think there probably might/should be one.
