Here are scale weight that I took on October of 2004. Tow vehicle is as in sig. line. Trailer is a 3 axle EZ-Loader, rated at about 11,000 gross as I recall.

270DA scale weights, where front and rear refer to the front and rear axles of the tow rig, weighed separately:

Vehicle, me, no trailer:
front: 4,400
rear:. 3,050
total: 7,450

Vehicle, me, trailer, no boat:
front: 4,400
rear:. 3,400
total: 7,800
trailr: 1,900
gross: 9,700

This implies the tongue weight of the trailer alone is about 350, and the weight of the trailer is 1,900+350, or 2,250.

Vehicle, trailer, boat:
front: 4,350
rear:. 3,550
total: 7,900
trailr: 9,500
gross: 17,400

This implies boat plus trailer weight is 17,400-7,450, or 9,950 lb.
This implies the boat weighs 9,950-2,250, or 7,700 lb.
This is with the fuel tank about 3.4 full, or 75 gallons.
This also indicated the tongue weight with the boat loaded is only about 450 lb, way too light. I started my quest to move the COG fwd wrt to axles after taking these weights.

So:
truck: 7,450
Boat:. 7,700
Trailr: 2,250
Gross: 17,400

I had no load in the PU except me and some fuel. So this suggest to me that anyone planning to tow this boat should be looking at a tow vehicle in the GCWR of at least 17,000 if you want no margin, and your tow vehicle is 1,000 lb or so lighter.

Boat has 4 house batteries plus 2 start batteries, 454 engine, no generator, no windlass, no A/C, no extended swim platform, only about 10 ft anchor chain.
