I'm looking for a "Portside" Aft vent fairing cover, mine went missing somehow.
This is the streamlined fairing cover for the engine comp't natural vent, it is made
of plastic and secured with (4) small screws. Have tried many of the online sites incl'
Salvage yards but no luck so far, have attch'd photos of Stb'd cover as example and
photo of the portside area where cover is missing. Am thinking that I may have to
resort to finding a good fibre glass guy to see if he could mould a new cover for me
as seems to be a hard item to find in the used parts field. Any ideas on where I can
get a new or used replacement greatly appc'td, would take a pair if I have to.

Thanks; John A
.

Unless you find a 370 being parted out, or in a salvage yard, you will not find this part. It is custom injection molded plastic. I had a pair of fiberglass ones made years ago, and I still haven't installed them. Instead, I put a grille on the vent hole, and put non-skid on the flat part. It became one of the most used steps on the boat. It is the perfect height for a fixed dock, at least in Florida.
I will sell you my fiberglass pair for 600.00
I think you'll be happier spending a hundred and do what I did.

Hi 370 Dancer;
Many thanks you suggestion above, why didn't I think of that.
Looks like a great option if I can't find the right cover.
I checked my boat this morning, looks like its the exact same arrg't as in your photo.
Where did you get your grills from as that would be my next search if I go this route.
Assume they were straight when purchased and you bent them to suit the radius.
If not too much trouble would you mind to send me a photo showing grill
front view.

I also got a lead from a CSR member letting me know there is a 370 being salvaged
out in Buffalo N.Y. which is less than an hours drive from where I live, only problem
is I can't get over the Peace Bridge into Buffalo right now due to Covid 19 restrictions.
I'll keep chasing on that one as well, who knows mayb'e I'll get lucky.

Cheers/Thanks; John.

The vent that is on the front of your single seat over the cockpit ice maker is the grille you want. West Marine is about 10 bucks SS. I bent it around a standard wood piling at the dock, and it was the perfect radius.
be sure to non-skid or cover that step, though. It would be slippery without when wet.

Hi again; Many thanks for your info.
Waiting to hear back from this boatyard in Lackawanna N.Y. ref the 98 370 being salvaged out. I think I can find those grills locally if I decide to go that route but probably 2 times the cost here in Canada, there's no big rush so could wait until they open the bridge access into Buffalo as there is a West Marine outlet there.Or else do it online but then have to pay for delivery/customs duty etc. Would you mind to give me the dimensions of the grill so I can try and find it online. Again appreciate your good assistance.
Cheers; John.

Thanks, I checked my boat - yes that's the one, dim's match Seadog item No 331400.
See attch'd photo.
Cheers; John.
