There is a latching relay (Intellitec) in the cockpit on the stbd side adjacent to the helm seat. The 2 fuses are 5A. The cable connected to the solenoid looks to be about #8 or #10. Can anyone give me an idea where the cable is connected?
Thanks.

Hard to say without more information... could be an emergency start or thruster or I don't know.

Seems like an odd location for either... pictures?

Sounds like the relay for the windlass, but they are usually in the engine room on the bulkhead. Try pulling one of the fuses and see if the windlass operated from the panel. If it does, keep looking; if not, you found where the cable goes.

I'll be at the boat tomorrow & take a pic.

The boat’s in winter storage, but I was there today with my mechanic. fwebster, you were right - it’s for the windlass. Not sure why the relay is needed, but the question is answered!
