Looking at this boat to buy from a dealer, what should I look for and what questions should I ask, I have not boated in a few years, asking 11,000 (seems high) doesnt come with a trailer. Any help would be appreciated

Seems a bit high without trailer. Check the carpeted wood floor and stringers real good for rot. Look for soft spots in the floor to start with.

Hi,
As Quint said, check the floor, stringers, and transom for rot. Be sure to take it for a sea trial. Check the outdrive (condition of the lube). Look at the overall hull condition. Search this site for a long post by member "friscoboater". He bought what he thought was an excellent 200 ('95 I believe), but when he got it home, he found many issues. He did a wonderful job rebuilding. Anyway, that post will give you some more insight into what you should look for.

Otherwise...I bought my 1992 200BR (5L engine) 3 years ago, with a trailer, and paid $6500. Mine was stored indoor in a dry stack it's whole life. You can see some photos following the link in the signature. We are the 2nd owners. Other than maintenance items, we have not had any issues. They really are good boats, but I believe $11,000 is very steep.

What else can you tell us about the boat?

Good luck,

Too high without trailer
just bought same boat in February with trailer and the 5.7 for 6'000.00 but it was a lien sale and it cost 450.00 in DMV fees plus luxuary tax of175.00
boat is turn key and my boat guy only had to clear some gunk from carb and change plugs and filters we also changed all the fluids and put new battery in.
boat that sit will need more $$ to get back in shape
insurance listed mine for $11,000
great boats good luck
