1991 Sea Ray 230 CC

Hey all,
I am looking at getting into one of these if everything works out. I checked the Sea Ray Archive and this boat seems to have every available option including the 7.4 and the Bravo 1 drive.
My question is does anyone have any experience with this age and size of boat with the 454 B1 combo?
Reliability, performance, fuel usage etc.

Reliability - depends on the condition of the boat - Issues to look at would be transom moisture, engine compression, look for signs of "backyard wiring" (previous owners doing substandard repairs or modifications)

Headliner stains would be an indication of deck core issues.

Look for oily bilges.

Gasoline smells could signal fuel tank leakage (expensive)
