I have one throttle control lever that is much harder to push than the other one. I have read where this is somewhat common. Wondering if anyone has dealt with this and found a fix short of new controller and cables?
It's a real challenge docking with the difference in tension between the 2 levers(especially for a first time boat owner!)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you need a new cable. I would highly suggest that you have a marine mechanic give you an estimate. Never done one myself, but have heard they are either pretty easy or a complete nightmare. Good luck, great boat!

Disconnect the cables... still feel a difference in tension?

Some have had good results by lubricating the cable - forcing oil into the sheathing with an air compressor. You would want to do this yourself - too expensive to pay someone - better off just replacing. Replace both cables at the same time.
