1990 Sundancer 270 - Gas Tank Tube

Can anyone tell me if the gas tank's internal feed tube has a screen or other similar device that can clog? My 454 breaks down at 3500 rpm after 30 minutes of running. Filter, hoses, pump, carb are new; vent is not the issue; check valve removed. Running out of ideas...

not sure what breaks down means, have you replaced the ignition parts?

Good question as I want to check mine as preventative maintenance. May be time to start looking at ignition parts. I have heard some coils will begin to misbehave when they get hot and cause performance issues.
