Hey everyone,
Having some trouble with the 135 merc on my 89’ seville.
Had er out last weekend & everything seemed to be running fine but accidentally ran it out of fuel(fuel gauge not working). Filled the tank up with fresh gas, and went to start it. It gave me some trouble starting, but eventually fired up. Idle sounded a bit rough but thought nothing of it. Pulled away from my dock, & about 30secs away while at idle speed in forward she stalled out & wouldn’t restart. Got it back to the dock, and was only able to get it to start again by advancing the throttle, then I was able to throw it back into neutral as normal. At idle, the rpms are jumping high then falling again, repeatedly but not stalling. As soon as its put into gear, motor stalls out. Not sure where to start with this as everything seemed fine a week ago & can’t get it to a shop bc it’s obviously not able to make it to a launch to pull out.
