I have a 1989 Sea Ray 268 , I am installing a In Hull Transducer, I am having problems running the cable from back of the dashboard to the Hull. Can anyone help me.. Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the reply. There is no access from the back of the dash to the window frame
Do you see the wires running through the starboard window frame? I will be in my boat later today and will ascertain specifically where the wire run from my factory transducer to the helm is if you haven't found it before ?What plotter fishvfinder are you installing?

Yeah same here all my wires go down from dash to port side, very visible through access door in the head. I would pull a small nylon rope at same time to make future installs easier

Hi I am replacing the depth gauge in the dash. Put a new depth gauge in. That came with a in hull transducer , so I need to go from back of gauge to Hull.

It is on the wall if you face the stern of the boat high up it is directly behind the helm . To get more light up there or ease access you can also remove the glove box under the steering wheel.. Haw bad of shape is your old guage in.? I will give u a few bucks for it

I see the back of the dash perfectly from the opening in the bathroom, I also see from under my dashboard the wires. But I still can get a cable or snake down into the Hull. The old gauge was a Lowrance 3400. It didn’t work and you couldn’t see anything cause the plastic was to worn. I did a retro-fit with the new gauge using the old gauge housing so it fit in the dash.

I can’t find the transducer on my boat or the cable that should be in the hull. I Appreciate all your in put on this. Thanks everyone trying to help me. Hope I can be a help to you guys someday.

Starboard side of the bilge about 12 inches from centre line looks like a hockey puck .heading out shortly to go check on my boat . We had some severe downbursts yesterday.will take some pics while I'm there

so pic 1 you can see the bilge pump hoses and wiring they are obscuring the transducer puck. Pic 3 shows the transducer wiring along the bulkhead.pic 2 shows where the wire goes through the upper starboard corner if the firewall
