Hi All,
The plastic blower vent grills on the side of my '27 Amberjack are cracked and discolored. I have been having trouble locating an exact fit replacement. I would REALLY appreciate input as to where to find them. I located some metal/chrome ones but they really didn't fit. I've been working on this boat for about six months and this is one of the last items! Dave

20 year old boat - your definitely a "glass is half full" guy, huh? :smt001

If that doesn't pan out, how about some epoxy to keep them from cracking more. Then sand them nice and smooth and use that "paint for plastic" spray paint. I bet it would look really nice!

On edit: David - what are the dimensions? I'll check some of my aftermarket suppliers for you.

local SR dealer should have them or can get them for you - there were very popular for many years.
only trouble - they may not have all colors like they used to have but standard arctic white should be still available or you can get them here:

I'm seeing lots of older SRs with vents that are fabbed out of starboard. Not sure they draw well but they look good and are durable, unlike the part they replace.

They had them for my 20yo boat, in stock - dozens of 'em - $12 a piece. The parts catalog for his model says "sand" - I'll guess that refers to color. They are a differennt part number than mine. Mine, are arctic white.

BTW, You cannot get these things off in one piece. The old plastic is dried out and will bust apart. Mine were on so damn good they tore some of the gel coat off with them. No chance to remove, refurb and repaint. I replaced the port side - starboard is OK (only a couple of vanes cracked).

Well, do they have a "smilies" for "foot-in-mouth"? I could use it. :smt001

That's certainly not the norm - good to know, though. Thanks.

No prob! There have been things I couldn't get for my boat, namely gauges (tachs, water temp, etc.). They are listed as NLA. Marine Max even called SR for me and SR said that I'd have to "go aftermarket." I was able to get the chrome emblems from them - remarkably the part number hasn't changed in 20 years and they still use them. (the black SR is original to my boat but it looked good so I went with it).

OK, I just checked the online Sea Ray inventory. Unfortunately it is listed as NLA - No Longer Available. It still had a list price listed as $10.50, though. The online directory is not always accurate - it would still be worth a phone call.

Or, like I mentioned above, tell me the dimensions. The directory lists the dimensions as 6x14 - is that correct?
