1989 340EC Water Leak.

chelepop, I'm hoping you can help me.

I've got a 1989 340EC. I've got a water leak just above my galley. It's right in the area of where the horn mounts and I supected that was the problem but 2 attempts for rebed and reseal have not worked. Every time it rains I get water stains on the headliner.

I know this was a common issue on many of these boats and was wondering if you had any suggestions.

Well since this boat was well out of my league, I can suggest a few things for you to try. The kicker is I'll need a picture of the model of horn that was installed (now we use a faceplate with a gasket and some silicone caulk, which is located thru the rope locker) Can you take a pic of the outside, and then again on the inside of where it is leaking thru? Also, can you take a pic of the disassembled horn where you tried to seal?
