Just wondering if anyone here knows how to locate and accessed the stepdown pump on my boat.
Thanks!
Jack

What do mean "stepdown pump"? Are you referring to the shower sump pump?

There is a pump under the floor near the rear of the boat, most likely under aft cabin, that pumps water out that can't find it's way to any other pump, example, say you spilled a gallon of water directly onto the floor. That water would find it's way to the step down pump. Mine is working good, I just want to know where it is.
Thanks for your reply!
Jack

OK, yes, that pump is usually under a floor panel or even under the steps going into the cabin. Also look for a removable panel in the aft cabin under the mattress.

If you have a shower and/or air conditioner you will also have a shower sump box with a pump that pumps the grey water overboard.

Sorry for not being more familiar with your boat.

Jack,
It's located on the floor at the back of the aft cabin.

Take out your filler cushions in the aft cabin and you will see a carpeted, hinged wood box on the floor. Lift it up and you will see the "step down" pump right there. It pumps out to an outlet on the port side rear of the boat.

You should also have a hose coming from the shower drain that empties into the step down pump area. The shower drain hose runs through the starboard stringer.

Yep that's the spot. My hinged box that covers it is so tight in there I need a small prybar and a block of 2x4 to pry it up . I really need to get at that job as my breaker for that pump won't stay on . We don't use the head for showering so not a.big concern atm but I want to test the pump and float as well as connections since the breaker being popped is annoying me.
