What is the approx speed of a 1988 Seville 16' with the 100hp ob motor? Any speed increase with a SS prop? I am new to boating and found a deal on this type of boat and wanted to get some information first.

Thanks guys and gals!

Depends on how well its runnin and how much wait is in the boat but that light of a boat and and that many hp... should be in the mid to high 50's A good prop is never a bad idea. Make sure the pitch is right for your area. I'm not sure what the math is to figure that but I'm sure someone in CSR does lol

Happy boating..... Drew

I all so have the same boat but I can't do more than 20 to 30 mph. Thats on a good day. I dont know anything at all about o/b but would like to. If you find anything out could you please share. Thanks
Richard

I have the same boat, only had it out 2 times and max speed was 38-40. next time i go out i'll take the gps to get the exact speed.

I grew up on a 1990 180 with a 135 mercury with a laser II prop. It would top out at 52 to 55 with mayself and a half of tank of gas. It became very finicky later in its life. But I loved that boat!

Went out today with the gps and top speed was 35 with 330 pounds on the boat and a full tank of gas.

I've had mine up to 42 (indicated). (19x13.25 SS prop) Previous owner said it'll do 46 on smooth water with one person trimmed out correctly. Not sure how accurate the speedo is though.
