1988 Sea Ray 268 side window leaking

Hi all

One of my longest side windows is leaking. Have replaced the flocking and cleared all the drains a year ago but the window still leaks significantly towards the front berth under heavy rain. Nothing visible from the top so thinking it cannot be bedded in on the bottom sealing surface. Checked the boat rail mount in that area but its dry.

So will have to pull the window out again. Any tips/tricks to installing these windows and getting them watertight?

The previous owner of my former 1988 268 ran a bead of clear good marine calk around the outside of the side window frames. That thing never leaked a drop in the 10 years I had it.

Once you remove window make sure you clean frame and fiberglass very good. You may want to scuff fiberglass with 320 sandpaper. Wipe frame and glass with acetone or alcohol. Use good quality marine grade silicone. I actually prefer this sealant instead silicone
