I am currently doing my best to clean up and rig a 1988 Laguna 23. I love the zen from taking something neglected to something beautiful and functional and this one is testing me.
I'll probably be looking for some parts here and there and am wondering how many different sources there are out there for the popularity of Sea Ray boats.
I am currently searching for the swim ladder step pads (2). The swim ladder part # is 156059 and there is a ladder plate listed as 129569.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Due to the volume of production, and how parts are sourced, boat manufacture isn't quite like automotive manufacture with respect to looking up part numbers and ordering replacements...

IF the ladder was made by a common manufacturer, then you MIGHT be able to cross reference by a part number... but it is most likely that the part has been out of production for so long, and was manufactured for a (relatively speaking) short time, that, if the original manufacturer still exists, they would have long since used up all the stock in the original production run.

Finding a replacement for the step is USUALLY most fruitful looking on the salvage market... for this reason, AND for one other key reason: Manufacturers of pleasurecraft hardware are universal to hull manufacturers... and as a result, you might find the exact same ladder, or a similar type using same treads, end caps, hinges, etc., on another brand of boat.

If you post a photo of the ladder, someone (possibly me) would check to see if we have such parts in our salvage stock...

both are dead ends...a marine max parts guy did a great job spending some time chasing down the ladder information but ran into a dead end with parts unavailable anymore...

gg schmitt had no information and stated if it's not on our website we don't have access or sell it...i asked for a possible supplier and was shot down...

looks like it's time to get creative...

I'll try.
