I am just starting the renovation of my 1987 EC 460 and loving the process. I am going to bring her back to life.
I have completely gutted the interior and will have her back in the water in May of 2020.

That is a really cool blog! What a project. Will you be able to work on her during winter?

I have to ask - were any of those interior walls you removed supporting your foredeck? I'd be scared to walk up top :)

I will be working on it all winter. The majority of the interior work will be done before it gets too cold giving the adhesives time to cure. I will be installing marine plywood to the interior surfaces to flatten them out. We will be building all of the cabinets and installing them from December to February. As for the support walls I actually am keeping them in place. I just took out the guts of them and reinstalling new walls finishes. I talked to a very knowledgeable service guy from the marina I bought it from and he told me they really aren't supporting the deck. The deck is in an arch which is basically self supporting.
Glad you like the blog. I will be making a monthly YouTube video as well.

I truly admire all of you who take on projects like this. It absolutely amazes me the skills and dedication that are out there!!!!

Thanks for that. Ask me how I am doing in about 6 months when working on it in the dead of winter. I just finished clearing out rotten floor joists today and will replacing the floor starting next week. Lots to learn as I go.

I really like your blog! Looks like its slowly going to come together. It will be beautiful i think. Good luck and GOD bless. JC

Maybe keep some pictures of the original sales brochures of your boat to keep you positively pointed in the right direction to the beauty yet to be unveiled!!!! Or at least of dreams to come...
