I recently decided to pick up a boat for the river for next year. We want to be able to spend the week end on the water and have friends stay with us if we like. I ran acrossed a deal through a friend. I was told it is 1985 weekender with a 260/5.7liter mercruiser. The boat is in great shape only has 206hr on the haul and motor was replaced with a Jasper block a few years ago. Under the deck all stringers are solid and every thing works.

But hear is my question? The cabin config and deck seating doesn't seem to match any thing I can find on line. The boat has the standard V birth bunk but also has An AFT bunk? The the deck only has a bench no back for the caption (not your standard back to back seating?) and one fold down bench at the rear. Every other weekender that I've looked at has no AFT bunk and different seating on the deck? Also the swim platform entrance is on the caption side.

I hope some one can clue me in on what make or model it is. Any info would be great. Thank in advance for the help.

I've watched your video before thanks for the post. I can say that the boat I looked at is identical up to the bathroom with the exception of one hatch instead of two. Then the bath room is fiberglass with a shower and the addition of the aft bunk. I did find some of the 1985 sundancer 260 look similar on deck but have a different gauge and switch layout.

Go to global.searay.com at the top click on owners resources then on the left side click on models archives this should help. weekenders do not have aft cabins . That is the difference between a Sundancer DA and Weekender WE

weekenders have a larger cockpit area and no midberth
good rule...if the cockpit is all one level its a weekender or express
all dancers have a raised area below the helm

Ok I've spent hour searching. The deck is raised under the Helm, no midberth and appears to me to be a 1984 245 sundancer. I'm going to look at it again this week end and will take some pictures and check the title. I really think we are going to pick this one up.
