The Bow A/C seems to be pulling in-take air from the engine compartment (fumes); whereas, the Aft A/C pulls from an in-take vent beside the sofa. Is there a fix for this to shut off the engine compartment?

The main bulkhead separating the engine space from the cabin are sealed, but there is a chance you have weep holes in the stringers or transverse frames to allow bilge water to move to lower areas of the hull or bilge sumps. If you have allowed oily residue to accumulate in the engine spaces, it is very likely that bilge water is carrying that odor forward into the space below the cabin sole which will make the cabin smell like an engine room.

My 355 does not have a passage for water from the bilge to move forward. The compartment below the step in the galley is sealed. Air intake for the front air unit is in the forward cabin below the closet door. There is no way that air is from the engine space. Most likely, the fumes are coming from the bilge during operation and stinking up the whole boat. The forward cabin has no vent to the outside unless the hatch is open so the fumes get trapped in there. Try opening the hatch and a salon window after operation and see if the fumes clear out.
