Looking for info on above, especially the drivetrain. Twin Mercruisers, "4 cyclinder 85"hp. Trying to find out if "drop-in replacements are made" and info on how a boat of this size cruises with only170 hp. Can you offer advice? Or where I can go to find out answers. Thank you Bob

Those 4 bangers are the biggest pieces of sh$#! I would avoid them at all costs.

I have the same boat, same engines. They are not 85hp, but most likely 185hp each. Mine are the 170 hp version. Lots of discussion on those engines, and I agree that they suck. Once you fix the charging issues with them and make sure you have the bigger heat exchangers they are supposedly pretty good, but because parts are hard to find and they don't have any other application other than mercruiser, they suck. I am keeping mine because of the cost to replace them, but I would sure rather have a couple 4.3's. I actually bought a running spare off ebay so I can always get parts for mine.

Most people replaced those 3.7L 4's with 4.3 V6's where it is applicable.
