1983/2006 37' Ten Meter Bertram/Trojan with YANMAR DIESELS

I think anyone interested in this boat will have a good idea of the year before they even start searching. You're not going to get some one looking for an express cruiser. You're going to get a buyer that's specifically looking for a bertram

In my continued opinion, he misrepresented the boat in the original ad. Doesn't matter what boats the folks are interested in. It's not right. When does a boat get a new year assigned? New motors are the standard?

Are brokers now advising this as he says? ("I was advised by a professional Broker to list the boat in this manner")

Interesting thread….. out of curiosity, what year is stated on the vessel registration, title/documentation certificate? I would assume the HIN would also be noted on these documents. Good luck with the sale and your new boat….

I think he’s been flogged enough and has seen the error of his evil ways. Time to forgive and forget and wish him the best.

If he keeps up with his 45 as well as he did is 2006......er......1983 it’ll be interesting to follow along.

I do appreciate the sharing of your opinions and viewpoints.

Thank you again.

Yikes! Not on the boat or you...but "National Liquidators" has been the yacht auction / repo sales place, at least a few years ago. Not sure I'd be a fan of my boat being on there!

Now for all I know they could have grown into more than the repo sales yard, but I'd also be sure he put it on Yacht World.
I thought the same thing. I would not even know to go there

damn we are a critical bunch :D

Damn… I have to start looking at dates

congratulations on the sale

They say the happiest 2 days in a boat owners life......

Well, that won't apply on Friday when I run her to the Marina for transport.

It's way more than a hunk of fiberglass and machinery

She's 21 years of memories

always brought us home safe

survived the EYE of 2 hurricanes with me, including a direct hit from Hurricane Charley, 2004 a CATEGORY 4 STORM

She's been the host of weddings and burials at sea

Christmas boat parades, ten of which she was the lead boat

The Leonid meteor showers

Lunar eclipses

July 4th fireworks

Fishing trips, including a few full-moon, 22 hour overnight fishing trips where we'd limit out

I'm in a rock n roll band. We did a few live shows on the water during the annual Freedom Swim

hundreds of overnights on the hook with the dinghy and many trips to Key West, Marco Island, Sarasota, Boca Grande, Bradenton, St. Pete Clearwater, Tarpon Springs, Ruskin and more.

Brought her over from Miami, across the ditch September 7-9, 2001.

Took her directly to a do it yourself marina and took 2 week vacation to bring some of her neglected systems up to speed. Watched the twin towers fall on her little TV while on the hard 9/11/01

Thought enough of her to do a repower with Yanmar 6 cylinder turbo diesels and a Northern Lights genset

Over our 21 year run together I continually updated and modified her for safety, reliability and style.

Lots of naps on board, wine/cheese, sunsets, coffee sunrises, hugs, kisses and love...

I left out a lot.

But wait a moment.

When I was in between marriages 2001-2004.....

well.....

Let's just say, if a boat could talk......

and leave it at that.

BEST !

spiderwebbed in the 100' canal behind the house with numerous 3 strand lines

anchors fore & aft

all canvas and soft goods removed

instrument pod protected with trash bags & duct tape

engine room vents sealed

fuel tank vents taped off

suffered damage to radar arch - repaired

lost TV antenna - discarded

damage to anchor locker door (repaired)

Her cleats have backing plates

She broke off 2 of 3 concrete pilings at my dock and bent over a wooden one across the canal.

3 boats on this canal sunk, the one next door took the boat lift with it, both upside down in the canal

no power for 21.5 days and no water

I let the neighbors use the head on the boat

We bathed in the pool
