In process of restoring this boat, and NEED some pics. of cockpit, rear deck and Interior. Also Plumbing diagram would be helpful.

Too old to get parts pics from SR. Have not found any for sale to look at those pics. Floorplan would be GREAT

ANY help will be appreciated, ANY INFO.........

Tried "Capt.rononline" seems to be DEAD site, NO response....

Many Searay models were amazingly similar in those years. You can probably see a lot even from different size boats and different years.
There are pictures of my 1980 260 Weekender in the Virtual Marina here. I have made modifications, but it might help. You can also check Boats.com for any boats for sale and see if any picture helps.
If you have a question, I would be happy to respond - just add it to this message thread.

BTW, I think the 260 is a great boat for a project. Big enough to be worth the effort and small enough to be doable. I removed some parts from mine - your model should be cleaner to start with. Good luck.

go to boats.com and look for one for sale. There is usually one or two and they usually have some good photos.

Similar model

I am in the process of doing the same project with a 1977 260. The interior in mine appears to be unmodified (and hideously 70's) but will be happy to forward photos if you think they will help. Also please let me know of any major problems you run into as you are farther ahead than I am.

As I posted above, I restored a 1980 260 Weekender. I have a few pics elsewhere on this site.

I think having two engines to deal with would have been too much, in both effort and money - especially in a 8 ft hull. Spec the mechanical work out carefully before you sink too much into it.

I THINK that the Express is basically a Sundancer with a more head room? Is that right? The Weekender has a V-berth, galley and head. The SD has a bulkhead between the V-berth & galley, plus an aft berth which makes the helm a little higher than the WE. That's my mind's version of the basic differences but I've never owned an Express...

You can download a brochure and owner's manual from Sea Ray. Not a lot of pics and diagrams but more than what you have I guess.

I can git some '82 SD pics but not sure if that helps you?

I have an '82 260 SXL currently for sale as I'm moving up to a 300 Sundancer. What would you like to know? I've been all thru my boat and fully restored and upgraded her. I almost hate to sell her but cannot have two boats at once. I think I have some brochure pics of the cabin interior and the cockpit seating. I also have diagrams of the stringers and frames if you need those. I'm new on here and don't know protocols for posting pics, so shoot me an email at QCPIPP@AOL.COM and I'll send them to you and you may post them if you care to.
