I just acquired the above. Always kept inside with 300 hours. The owner had a mechanic go thru it before selling it. I have been boating for more than 50 years but have never owned an I/O. I've winterized diesel sailboats, outboards, pump out pottys all that stuff but I don't know where to start on this one.
Where are the tanks located? How to access? how to drain motor and lower unit?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Out of water. I'll store inside but unheated.....Up north.

I've seen a few youtube videos of folks hooking up muffs to the outdrive using a sump pump in a baby pool with a few gallons of the pink antifreeze and let the motor run for a bit. That looks like a great way to do I/O's.

Fresh water system I would drain completely and blow air through the system to get any remaining water out. Some use the pink antifreeze in this system as well but it takes a bit to flush the system clean in the spring. I usually unhook a few lines off the water pump and ensure the hot water tank is drained.

For the head I vac out the tank at the end of the season. Fill and flush with your favorite bio cleaner and then vacuum back out. Then flush some pink antifreeze through the system and leave it in the tank.

For the sinks I just pour a little pink antifreeze down the drain to push the water out and leave it.

My boat says in the water so I usually get the marina to winterize my engines and generator along with their annual oil and filter changes.
