1974 Sea Ray SRV193 resto help

Hey,
I picked up this SRV for less than $200. My big question right now is whether this fuel tank and its locale is factory. It seems a little cheesy!:huh:

According to Sea Ray, that is the correct location for the fuel tank.

You will definitely have some skills when you get this thing sorted out.

I recall boats of this era coming with bow mounted tanks when I was a kid.

Looks like my 1974 srv 190..
It is a closed bow with the fuel tank in the front.. I would leave it there for CG

The tank is staying where it is, will get better fastening though. Ive got the new transom done so I supposed Ive made a little progress.
