190 Sport - Deck Scuppers

Hey all,

Do the 190 Sport scuppers drain overboard or into the bilge? Just wondering....For a future boat purchase is it better to have the scupper drain overboard? I know the fishing Boston Whalers/Grady White, etc all drain overboard....Just trying to increase my boat knowledge...This is our first boat...

Since I keep the cockpit and tonneau covers on the boat there isn't rain getting inside which would cause the automatic bilge pump to run. That might be the difference with the fishing style boats. Most of them just have the center consoles covered so rain would cause the bilge to run if the boat didn't drain overboard...

Into the bilge. Cockpit floor is too low (which gives you the increased freeboard). Fishing boats may be backing down on a fish and have waves crashing over the stern.
