185 br bucket seats

I'm thinking of changing out my back to back seats for 2 bucket style seats. I realise that I will lose 2 seat spaces but that doesn't bother me. Has any one done this, or even know if its reasonably possible? Where should I look for seats? Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Bob, 2002 185BR 4.3

Not sure what your set up looks like (how they are attached to the floor) but it looks like that was an option in 02.

Hello Bob, that is going to be a bugger to do...Sea Ray thru-bolts two of the studs with lock-nuts from underneath the deck-this is so the seat bases and poles do not wobble. I think I'd contact Sea Ray customer Service @ 1-800-SR-Boats for that answer.

yes, I noticed that there is no access under the deck. I thought there are toggle bolts available that would work, (similar to the ones used in drywall), do you have any idea how thick the fiberglass deck is? Thanks

Hello Bob, this area is approx. 1/4" think in this area...before you do any drilling, consult sea ray customer service @ 1-800-srboats. Ask for the sport boat riverview plant cust serv. they will help you!!!

Hi Bob -- (15 months later ) did you ever change out your seats. I contacted Sea Ray customer service with this same question but all I got as a reply was they no longer carry parts. If you were successful, could you share your solution with me --- thanks
