Has anyone seen or made this work. I know I can buy the "monster" bimini, but I don't really want to shell out the extra cash, and I'd like to be able to use the stock mounting locations. On top of that, I think the top has always been too tall. Has anyone had any luck modifying the stock bimini to lower (and narrow if need be) it?

I've seen a couple other posts kind of like this, but not meeting my same criteria with boat and tower model. Any help would be greatly appreciate!

Thanks!

I have a 210 and a MT2 tower. I ordered a standard Bimini through Overton's and modified it to work.

It wasn't tough to do. I ordered something in between the gunwale width and the tower width at the height I wanted it.

Then cut a section of pole out of the top to get the width you need and bend the angle of the poles to get the width at the bottom. You can bend the poles, carefully, by hand.

I did have to lower it also. I drilled out the rivets in the bottom fittings so I could remove them and cut some of the tube off. Then drilled a new hole for the rivet and reinstall the fittings with new rivets.

I even have wakeboard tower speakers and still got it to work.

I love it, I am so glad I added it.
