12 volt blender?

I have one of the Magaritaville battery powered units. It is awesome. A fully charged battery lasts all day. Normally used when we have 6 to 8 people.

if you could install a power inverter you can use regular 120VAC blenders....not sure what the power draw of a blender is but i bet a 1,000 watt inverter would run it.....

i have a 1,500 watt inverter installed and i run a small coffee pot and a small microwave oven (not at the same time) with it and have no problems.....

My blender is a Mercruiser 7.4 L, 340 hp. Works great on weeds, tow lines, etc. My other 12 volt blender from WM sucks. 12V is just not enough to turn ice into a pina colada.

I found a hand crank blender that I used before I added a generator to my old boat. The blender had two different gear ratios for blending and it worked pretty well. I can't remember the brand name of it. I will try to look the next time I am on the boat. Don't actually use it now as the new to me boat has a built in NuTone blender.

Problem is a good blender takes a lot of power. A 120V bar blender draws 10 Amps which is 1200 watts. A 12V blender with comparable power would draw 100A.

As stated before - I have a 1000 watt inverter and not enough juice to run the blender.
My experience with the 12v ones were not very good or very slow.
