First off, thank you to everyone that gave great advice and recommendations for our first trip to the 1000 Islands. Alexandria Bay and Clayton were great stops. Great food and people. Here are just a few pics.
Tied up in our slip at Grass Pointe State Park
One of my favorite pics of the boat. Boldt Castle in the background while tied up at Boldt Yacht house.
First Mate giving me a hand through a No Wake zone
Not a bad place for someone to tie up!!! Boldt Castle Yacht house.
She has every toy you could imagine, what does she play with...the rocks at our friends campsite!
The Admiral and First Mate before a sunset dinner cruise to Alexandria Bay
Not the little lake traffic we are used to. My daughter loved the air horns!!!
Our 250 is tied up behind some vintage wooden steam kettle boats at the Vintage Boat museum in Clayton. Its a must see for any boat lover. Those steam boats are works of art. There were probably 75 there through the week on the water. Seemed like everyone had a different sounding cartoon air-horn. While at the museum I was able to talk at length with the director of restoration while working on restoring a 75' wooden yacht. Very Cool..
If you haven't been to the 1000 Island area...make it a bucket list item. We were in 45' of water and could see bottom. Gorgeous place.
