$1.48

I thought a $1.66 was good on the way to work this AM. It is really bad that it took a financial collapse to bring the price of gas down. I agree we should not be so passive when it starts to climb when things improve. Back in the 70's there was a so called gas shortage, price went from $.35 a gallon to $.65 a gallon, there was no shortage because the ships were anchored just of shore and they would send a barge out to get whatever the limit was at that time, if you went to the beach you could see the ships. That was a ploy just like the hurricane damage was a ploy to raise prices. Just my thoughts.

Yup, I filled up at $1.60 Sunday. $25 sure feels better for a fill up then the $60+ I was paying a few months ago.

"now time to start hauling it down my self."

Check with your marina on this first...may be a no go especially for insurance reasons.

$180 in town, I paid 2.86 on the water in Pt St Joe, 2.95 on the water in Apalachicola, and my marina graciously dropped ours down from 4.71 to 3.72 - on base. Baypoint was bragging last week that in order to replace their gas tanks, they were having a sale on gas at 2.99 . Where's my $2 boat gas (other than Citgo).

If you're paying north of $3/gallon for gas at your marina, you need to use your boat more often, so your marina can sell all its old, high-cost gas, and take delivery of a tanker-load of sub $2 gas.
