Does the salon couch convert/slide out to make a bed ??
The boat in looking to buy ,in no way does the couch/settee slide out to form a extra bed ,The factory PDF brochure says it does , ...
Quote the PDF : seating, L shaped lounge with storage below -converts to bed with filler cushions

My boat is similar where the couch pulls out..In some cases Sea Ray installed snap latches to hold it in place ....similar to the overhead storage doors. In boats where they were not installed like in my case some owners installed latches or stronger snap latches...You might want to look around the sides or back of the cushion to see if they are there....or give it a good pull if you don't find anything.

Thanks ,were would the filler cushion be stored, is it hidden like the aft cabin cushions .
The previous owner doesn't know the couch converts , he thought it is stationary.
I'll check Saturday ,thanks

Filler cushions are under the seat cushion when you pull the seat out you will see them

The snap system is very tight. I find that lifting on the bottom edge that is carpeted releases some of the tension on the latch and makes it easier to slide open.

I've actually thought about replacing the whole mechanism with an electric actuator system but decided it wasn't worth the $ and effort since we don't use the sofa as a bed often.

Have you guys experienced some oil sepage from your diesels, is it to be expected ???

looking for part number for the pull-out board under salon seating to convert to bed...board and rails are trashed

No. Like water belongs on the outside of a boat, oil belongs inside of the engine.....in all seriousness, if seals and gaskets are in good condition and levels are correct, I have no oil anywhere but in the engines.
