05 390 Dancer bad fuel gauge?

According to all, 270 gallons of gas will fit into this beast. Then WHY when I limp home from Catalina and the gauge is showing just 7 gals on the STB side (35 gls on the port) can I only fill up the STB tank with 104 gallons of gas? Is there a reserve I dont know about???

You need to re-calibrate your smartcraft system to read correctly. Real easy to do, just look it up in the owners manual.

Go to mercurymarine.com and you will find a section devoted to gauges/smartcraft. You can download the manual there. It is too involved to describe on this forum.
