'05 200 Sea Ray Select-Is a 4.3 220 hp engine enough power?

How big is the family? Are we talking little kids? More info please?????

Or as some would say "It Depends" (Grin)

I had a '89 200br with a 205hp carbed 4.3. We regularly tubed and skied with 5-6 people on board....but I worked that motor!

WE dont have 5 of us but our Sundeck does fine with the 4.3MPI

IMHO - Unless you have a bunch of 200lbs+- crew members you should be ok.

That is plenty of power, and if it is not, you can change the propeller to have more pull at the expense of top speed and a slight increase in fuel consumption. I had a low-speed prop on my 140 HP Seville, and it got a 240 lb friend of mine up on skis. For normal-size people, you will have not problems even with the standard propeller.

Should be plenty of power. I have been in a similar sized boat with the carb. version of that motor, 190hp and it has plenty of power. Could easily load the boat with people and pull up a skier, even on one ski. Top end around 50mph too.
