it it common to see a few little oil leaks here and there ??? Has anyone had major problems with this motor ?? Or any other info/advice about this motor would be helpful ,

From my experience you do see diesels with oil leaks. That said, some sources are minor and easily fixed and others can be signs of a bigger issue. That likely doesn't help you too much but without more info as to where the oil is coming from you can't really know. Take the time to have a good look and/or give us some more info to help.
