Hey Everyone;
Figured I would ask here to see if I could figure out what it is.
My warning alarm is beeping twice every 3-5 minutes when at idle or moving, not when engine is not started.
Basically when I start the boat I get the initial warning tone. But then every 3-5 minutes i receive 2 beeps and it will beep twice every 3-5 until i turn it off. I have checked all of my fluids and gauges as sea ray advised of this and everything is fine. They also told me it could be 1 of 17 things but none are impacting. I also noticed while at full throttle on a lake; you could here it sputter a little.
Could it be bad fuel? No idea The reason I ask is because it started happening after I got fuel; coincidence? I also topped it off at a different place and still same issue.
Any ideas on what else to look for.
Thanks,
Luis

I'm getting a 2 beep also and the conclusion i've come to is if you've checked the obvious things, you are going to have to have a computer hooked up to the engine to determine what is triggering the 2 beep. There are a lot of things that can trigger this alarm, at least that's what I found in the service manual. When you hook up a computer to the ECM it will tell you what code was generated and then you cross reference the code to the sensor and go from there. But if you think it's tied to fuel, I'd change the filter and see if that does the trick, they are pretty cheap.

Got the boat back from the dealer today. It was the Idle air Control valve that was causing the beeps and it also gave a code.
I'm kind of pissed as they chaged me $108 just to put it in the water and test it and put it back on trailer. the total including launch & tax was 369.22 :smt013

I dropped the boat off on the trailer because I was on my way home from a lake and I figured it would be easier. Guess not.

Couldn't they just put muffs on it and run it on the trailer?

the IAC seems to go a lot from what i've read. I have an appointment tomorrow morning to take mine to the marina. If it's my IAC then I think I'm going to order another because my luck, the one on the other engine will go in a week. seems a little expensive for the whole deal..... I thought the valve was around $80.
