manifold riser fwc

i have 2006/7 5.7L 350 mag MPI Fresh water cooled engines. Based upon the parts diagram, appears the coolant is flowing through the manifolds, 2 hoses each side, upper and lower manifold. They should be protected from the salt water. Is there a reason I would need to replace the manifolds, and...
