On the main sliding door from the cocpit to the galley there is a latch that locks it in the open position to prevent it slamming open & closed when in rough water. Mine is broken & if anyone has one new or used please let me know & thanks! 89 340 Express cruiser

has anyone else run into this? the cabin door will not lock from inside the cabin. and do not have the key to try from out side the cabin. (just ordered the key at the sea ray dealer) i am afraid that the latch is no good and i just ordered a key for a latch that does not work.
