Have someone check the leak when you are under way. You might be flinging salt water under the engine and trans. not good.

What are other 310 owners using for 2nd ground tackle and where to store.

You have to pull the shaft back at least enough to expose the end of the shaft. How would you get a round seal on the shaft.

For $2K their not pulling the engines. The reason the shafts need to come out is because some moron at the Sea Ray factory put the spare seals that ride on the shafts backwards.

I found a boat yard that will pull both shafts, replace seals and short haul for $2000.00. It's about a 15min. ride to the marina with water spewing from the seal. I might try to make a shroud to put over the seal assy. to cut down on the salt water spraying up under the engine. For a $3K...

Your probably OK with a 35 footer. But if I had to do it over with a 31' I would stay away from the v-drive set up. Even though i'm a inboard die hard.

How difficult is the shaft removal from the ZF trans.? Is there a special puller needed to remove the shaft flange on the trans. end. I need to pull the shaft because some moron probably at the Sea ray factory put the spare Tides seal on backwards.

I here you but have you looked at the room between the engines on a 310. I'm only 5'2" and it was a tight fit for me.

I just went to replace my leaking seal on my port shaft. When I opened the carrier seal, I found that the seal was installed backwards on the shaft. So then I checked the starboard seal, and that was also on backwards. Now I'm wondering if this is Searay issue since these spare seals were...

Good luck with that. I just replaced my Tides seal with the spare seal on my 02 310 V-drive. Launced today it leaked worse than before. Now I'm back on the hard and probably have to pull the shaft.

The hose is attached to a valve that is right up against the inside of the hull. It's not just a white barbed fitting with a nut.

I noticed a small leak where the ball valve meets the hull. This is the on the AC discharge line in the FWD berth above the water line. I'm guessing I just need to rebed the fitting from the outside. My ques. is does the fitting unscrew from the valve from the outside? 02 Sundancer 310...

The original one is 2". The new one is 2 3/8". I guess i should ditch the old sounder. I was just trying to keep it as a backup.
