    Electronics Surgery/Upgrades

I would be interested in the 220 vhf if you are planning on selling it. My volume switch stopped working and I'm not quite ready to upgrade all my electronics. Thanks

Washington DC trip on 4th of July?

Thanks for the input. I talked to a few marinas this week and there are already waiting lists. They also want full payment up front once confirmed with a minimum stay. Still trying to decide if we will attempt the trip. Maybe we will go a different time of year.

Washington DC trip on 4th of July?

Looking for ideas/sugestions on a cruise to DC on 4th of July week. We were thinking two days travel time from Rock hall area, so we would need a stop in the lower section of the Potomac. Spend 3 or 4 nights in DC, and then head home. Sound Crazy? Thanks, Russ

    Official 370 Sundancer thread

Here are some pics of my tv upgrade. I made a door to match the other closets with a mirror to convert the old tv hole to a closet. I still need to conceal some wires. The new mount is adjustable so you can watch from the mid cabin when its set up as a birth. I also added a strap that is behind...

Where to eat in Baltimore Inner Harbor

Try Mamas in Canton. Few blocks from the water and a short cab ride from IH, but you won't be sorry.

    Official 370 Sundancer thread

Andy, I had a welder make the brackets similar to what others posted. I think the board was called qusak (not sure of the spelling) that I bought at a lumber yard for about $60.00. Brackets were $75.00. Purchased the weaver quick connect brackets on ebay. Then shaped the boards and assembled...

    Official 370 Sundancer thread

Andy, I made davits like mentioned above and traveled all summer with a 6hp motor attached to a 10ft rib. I can load it myself, and with help it is even easier. One of the best upgrades that we have done to the boat next to the camper canvas.

    Holy blizzard batman

We are spending the winter at the Inner Harbor Marine Center in Baltimore. Got to the boat late Friday nite and left Sunday afternoon. Who says you have to stop boating in the winter. We stayed there two years ago and had a blast, but there was no snow. After dinner we hit Federal Hill for some...

    92 searay 290 sundancer

You will not be sorry if you add a swimplatform.com platform. Top notch company. I had one on my 93 290 and loved the additional space. Was able to store a cooler on the small section and the kids had plenty of room to swim from the extended platform without jumping on the outdrive. I towed...

    Official 370 Sundancer thread

Can't agree more about the 370. The sliding door for the v-berth and seperate shower was the deal closer for us. This is our third Sea Ray and the four of us fit just right. We enjoyed the first summer with her so much, we kept her in the water all winter in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. We were...

hatch screen latches and curtain holders

I found the curtain pieces at an RV store. My previous boat was like yours and I might have some extras in my supply box. I will look this weekend and let you know. I am also in search of screen latches.

Arrgghhh! August 9-10 Pirates in Rock Hall

I beleive that ramp still needs a county launch permit that is $10.00 and good for 3 days. The fine is like $100.00 if caught without it. Sandy Point State park has great ramp to launch and its not a long ride to Rock Hall. It would also save an hours drive in the car if you are coming from the...

    Water Heater Replacement on 370DA

I changed mine last year. The pressure releif valve should have a hose that drains into the bilge. The drain valve on mine also drained into the bilge. There will still be some water that gets into the compartment when disconecting the hoses, but you can easily dry that once its out. It is a...

    '90-'91 270da or '92-'93 290da - dinette question

The seat back near the v-berth should also lift up and off to give you more head room. We enjoyed our 93 290 very much. Trailered it from Ontario to the Chesapeake Bay for many fun trips. Good luck with the new boat.

    90-91 270da - 7.4 330hp adequate power ?

In 1992-1993 they called that boat a 290. I had a 93 290 with a 7.4, a bravo two outdrive and the optional 130gal fuel tank. It was a great performing boat with that setup. Plenty of room in the bilge. I'm not sure how much tubing you will want to do pushing the additional weight though, even if...

Month Long Chesapeake Bay Cruise on 480 DB/Four Suns

If you want to keep the kids busy while at Haven Harbour, have them look for little United States stickers. They are all around the marina. There are none by the shops or boats on the hard. I will tell you there are 2 in the pool area and 2 on the blue dock if you need an example. There are a...

Any recommendation for boating safety course?

You can also try The United States Power Squadron. It is similar to The Coast Guard Aux. They also offer other boating courses such as piloting, advanced piloting, cruise planning, weather, and a few others. http://www.usps.org My local squadron just had a rendezvous in Rock Hall, MD with 45...
