I had a similar situation although the symptom was different. My tank was leaking water into that bilge. Sometimes it would leak down to a quarter tank, and other times completely empty the tank. After a lot of messing around and what I called investigation, that was really procrastination; I...
Remove the carpet in the storage area under the sofa, there are three small access hatches under there that provide access to the fills at the tank and tank level sensor. Immediately aft of that is a vertical access panel that gets you to the bilge pump.
It is in the compartment behind the back cushions of the forward facing salon couch. I relocated it to the compartment under the seat cushions of the same sofa for easier access and better cooling.
There are access hatches over the fill and supply hoses which are all on the top of the tank. There doesn't appear to be any other connections to the tank sides. The tank leaks down to a 1/4 so I've been assuming that the leak is somewhere between a 1/2 and 1/4. I have been running away from...
I am losing water from my water tank into the cabin bilge. It is not consistent as sometimes it leaks to empty but other times just down to a quarter tank. I looked at the install diagram and see no connections in the lower part of the tank. The actual tank cannot be inspected without taking...
It's awesome I just wish I had more free time, but considering 365 boating season, clean clear safe waters, numerous destinations and anchorages most less than an hour apart - what can I say..... See you all soon
I live in the BVI and I know the Moorings very well. They are very well known and have built their reputation on quality boats and services. They can also offer bareboat charters or arrange a flotilla for you. I highly recommend them. Plus the venue in the BVI is absolutely awesome. See...
On the 6.2 it is screwed into transmission cooler right above the transmission which is on the back of the engine, which is towards the front of the boat because the engine is installed facing aft due to the B drives. When you open the hatch look straight down just behind the bulkhead on top of...
The basic principles for boat handling are consistent and apply to all boats, however every maneuver is different even at the same location because wind and current can be different. The trick is to factor the wind and current into your docking and make them work for you. Try to work with them...
I read about this and a 480 that I was considering last year had a temporary repair for a blown out window. As I recall one of the pieces of advice was to avoid placing the fenders by the windows when the boat is docked, because the boat puts pressure on the windows especially if it is sloppy...
I installed seadek www.seadek.com at the helm station of my 320 sundancer (previous boat) and loved the product. I sold the boat before I could experience it's durability. I am thinking of installing it on the complete cockpit of my 500 Sundancer, but it is a stick down application and "kinda"...
Would you consider the Seadek product for replacing the snap in carpeting? I recently ordered a custom piece for the helm station area, but haven't received it yet.
I changed the circuit board that has a small battery on it inside the controller. The EC69 code went away and was promptly replaced by a LOC code which I could not resolve, despite changing all sensors and parts on the raw water side and cleaning the heat exchanger. The unit was pumping well...
Surely I know how it feels to be disgusted with it. Still no response from the dealer. I will chase them down again today. I get the impression they do not have the answer.
