I have the same faded apperance on my outdrive. However I can actually scrape it off if i concentrate on a spot. I have tried many cleaning solutions to try to get this clean but it will not come off. Anyone have any advise on how to get this off and the outdrive looking clean again?
Jack I misquoted. Swim Platforms is 25" deep not 18". I did get the same info from them but by the time it is all said and done the cost is at $2000 plus. Also I do not like the ladder location underneath. I want a telescoping. There is a company called mountain marine that I found and like...
I want to install an extended swim platform. I have researched a few companies. Each company platform size and price varies. I would like to go as big as possible. My concern is will it effect performance of the boat? Has anyone with an 06 or 07 installed a platform? What size is it and...
I do not often post on threads although I explore this forum EVERY day. I will post an occassional question but this specific topic almost made me regret my purchase. When I purchased my 2007 240 DA, getting the boat on plane then listing both port and starboard were the hardest for me to...
I had same problem. All gauges were not working with exception of the tach. I was at idle for a little and it all just went dead. After we got back to the marina I checked all connections and couldn't find anything. When all esle failed I turned off and disconnected the batteries, then...
I have an 07 240 Sundancer and we love the boat. It works for us. Although I agree with Tonka. Get the biggest boat that fits within your budget. AC, windlass and space are all luxuries you will greatly enjoy that are hard to find in a 240 Dancer. I have the 5.0 and it is underpowered for...
Yes mine is recirculating. I checked with my Sea Ray dealer and they said exactly what you said. They said to let the engine run awhile and get up the temp. It will take a little bit to get the water heated up. I don't remember it taking long last year though. I do not have shore power hook...
I am not getting hot water since I have put the boat in the water this season. I winterized the boat myself and installed a by bass kit on the hot water heater to winterize it. I drained the tank and left the valve open over the winter. It is not by passed anymore and I am getting water in the...
OK. I got the by pass kit and installed it. I installed the by pass onto the cold water input (blue hose) and connected it over to the hot water out line (red hose). I had previously drained the hot water heater but closed the spicket. I put more antifreeze into the tank and ran the...
I would agree with Presentation. I have a 240 DA and my Yukon XL 1500 struggles when this boat is loaded up. Every once in a while is OK but you will definately beat up your Yukon. I will typically borrow my fathers Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty for hauling. As far as sleeping, I have three kids...
Might anyone have any pics of how you by-passed the hot water heater? I would like to see this before I attempt to do it which I have decided to do now. My by-pass kit should be in this week. I have an Atwood hot water heater.
I was at the Norwalk, CT in water boat show a couple weeks ago. I was in the 250 and 270 Dancers for quite a while looking and no one asked me any questions or approached me. I was surprised on how little interest any of the boat reps showed in being helpful or to inquire about my interest...
this is all great info. thanks. i am using the non toxic rv/marine -50 anifreeze that i got from west marine. i am trying to get the owners manual from atwood so that i know how to bypass the hotwater heater. i am not sure where the water comes in to the heater and where it comes out. i...
This is my first year winterizing myself. The owners manual refers you to the hot water heater manual which I don't have. I have put 4 gallons of the pink non toxic antifreeze into to water tank. To winterize the water heater, is it just a matter of turning on the hot water until the pink...
Although they don't smell that great, moth balls work very good. I overdose my boats with them and have never had an issue with mice, squirrels etc. I store outside with a tarp cover. I live in a very woody area. I get mice into the garage and house from time to time. Never in the boat.
