I run it all the time. Why take chances. After 15 years I had to replace the blower, cheap enough insurance.
Some with fuel/starting problems say it keeps the engine room cooler and it helps with hot start problems.
Yes that sounds legit. I had a Maxum with the 4.3 with similar problems.
The fuel pump is a little round cartridge about 3" high and 1 to 1-1/2" diameter on the front of the engine. Has fuel tubing and a wire harness going to it. Easy enough to change out if you are handy.
It cost about $75...
Pete if you go up in pitch- 24 to 26, then you rpms will go down about 300-400 rpm per 2" of pitch change.
Go here for a little education- http://www.propmd.com/t-PropellerBasics.aspx
Ben at Prop MD was very helpful in finding the best prop size and in buying my used ones.

I understand your desire to raise the seat and this sounds like a nice idea, but.......
Raising the helm seat 8" on mine would put the seat back above the height of the windshield sides and then the cockpit cover would not fit properly.
Yours may be different and if you don't use a cockpit...
White MarineTex. Get it at the boat store. A white two-part epoxy that will fill in the hole.
You will not get a perfect repair with this, that would take gel coat, sanding and buffing.
For 1997- Original Props-
26 Pitch Set for 7.4LX MPI 330hp
24 Pitch Set for 7.4LX EFI 300hp
I would guess the 24s are your stock props. If they are not doing the job, consider new or rebuilt ones. They do get worn down with use.
The regular Bravo III can only handle 400hp. There are X and XR models of the Bravo III that can handle 450 and 525 hp. But you don't have that.
For new Merc motors you would be limited to the 496 MAG at 375hp or the 8.2 MAG at 380hp. About $15,000 installed.
The 4/3 blade Bravo III props give...
210 Select- I am sorry I was mistaken, the props I have are 26" and 28".
Look on your engine for WOT, but it should be 4800-5200. So you should have a little room to play as long as you know not to knock on max rpm for too long and you probably have a rev limiter on the engine, or at least a...
First you need to find out what WOT is for your engine. Then what WOT you are hitting with your current prop.
If you are pretty close on the two WOTs then you have the correct props and maybe they just need to be refurbished.
If your WOTs are off- Each 1" change in pitch is about 150-200 rpms...

From the picture it looks like there are many...
If it is a Jabsco/ITT spotlight, the fuses are on the control panel under the rectangular bumps. "Two (2) automotive type fuses are included in the
control. One (10 amp) protects the bulb circuit, the other
(3 amp) protects the motor circuit."
The gears or motor could have a problem. One of my...
The Sea Ray site has Model Archives that would probably give you the drive ratio.
I found good used and new props for sale on Ebay and CraigsList. Good deals. Google for a search site to do national searches on CraigsList. Buy one, try it out, if no good sell it again.
Try Black Dog...
Mine is not hooked to the engine. The water heater has the connections for it but not connected. Maybe because the original engine was raw water cooled? Or to reduce a point of failure?
Look to see if yours has hoses running from the engine to the water heater. Black rubber hoses vs the...
I have the Master Lock adjustable hitch. Crank it up and down to the perfect height. Works great.

I live in Annapolis so I do not have any experience staying at local marinas. But hopefully I can provide some insight to your yet unanswered post.
You probably want to be downtown Annapolis. So your choice of marinas and their facilities is limited to marinas with no real amenities but walking...
Nice find!
Congrats on the house and welcome to the site.
I am half tempted to make you an offer to take it off your hands so you can better care for those nice Ronal R10 Turbos and car and bike and......
But I can't finish the projects I have now.
Anyway, go here for details on the boat-...
Look on the SeaRay.com / Customer Support / Model Archives
This will give you an idea of what your boat has and you can search for other newer boats that are a similar size and weight with your new motor to get an idea of your needed drive ratio as well as prop pitch.
Once you get it all...
